Beta Boost Smoothie

I’m a big fan of adding as much colour as possible to your diet. Colourful fruits and veggies are loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This brilliant orange Beta Boost Smoothie is no exception. Loaded with cantaloupe, mango and carrots it is an excellent source of vitamin A.

Vitamin A is vital for immune function and vision and also plays a keeping our skin healthy. It is a fat-soluble vitamin that is stored in our liver. The best way to get vitamin A is from food. If you use supplements, there is a chance you will take too much, and high doses of vitamin A are toxic. Instead, choose at least one dark green vegetable and one orange vegetable or fruit a day. This smoothie is a tasty way to get your daily dose of vitamin A, and it works well for fueling purposes as well!

I love this smoothie because it is a delicious way to refuel, and it is a tasty way to get your daily dose of vitamin A. If you would like to increase the protein content substitute the water for skim milk or soy milk.
