Chocolate Banana Protein Shake
The Chocolate Banana Protein Shake gives you that decadent chocolate taste without all those extra saturated fat calories. The chocolate taste comes from cocoa powder which is high in flavor and low in fat. As a bonus, cocoa powder’s antioxidants make it a great addition to a post-workout smoothie.
For protein, we have peanut butter and greek yogurt, which, in addition to the banana are the perfect flavour combination with chocolate. With the use of low-fat dairy products, much of the fat in this recipe comes from the peanut butter, and it is monounsaturated. In moderation, monounsaturated fat is fantastic for your cardiovascular health.
Blend this shake before, or after, your next workout and feel great about all the good stuff you are putting into your body!
